Hello friends and family! Just a quick update on how Sophia's training is going so far! The Summer schedule is in full swing and Sophia is working on many new skills as well as improving on the stuff she is already doing! So far, I get updates on double back dismount from bars, double fulls, switch leaps on beam, shoot-overs on bars and so much more!
Massachusetts State Champions Celebration
On June 29, the MA State Champion gymnasts got the opportunity to celebrate their victories at a Mass USAG sponsored event at Kimball Farms. Sophia and her fellow teammates got to participate in the farm's Great American Barbecue with and all-you-can-eat ice cream buffet! They also go to spend time on the farm doing various activities! Sophia's favorite activities of the day were the bumper boats (went on these 4 times) and the batting cages (we both went in 6 times)! She tried out the driving range -- but did not really enjoy that! She had a great time hanging out with her teammates!! Here are a few pictures from the day!
