All about Sophia

Sophia was born to Sean and Camille on July 12, 2002!  She brought a lot of energy and personality to their world!!  She started her gymnastics training at Geddart's Twistars in Lansing, Michigan at 2 years old and has not slowed down since!   She spent a little over a year there and then moved to Arizona!  In Arizona, she did ballet/tap/gymnastics through the Little Gym until her mom realized she was doing more than what the instructors were teaching her!  We then found Desert Devils Gymnastics and that is where her training really took off!  Sophia was a DD gymnast from January 2005-December 2009!  She competed level 4 there in 2009 and had a fantastic season!  She ended up placing 3rd place at states and her team went undefeated!! Her DD Level 4 team is ranked #17 on mymeetscores.com for top 100 team scores for the 2009 season! The family then, unfortunately, moved to Massachusetts in 2009.  After searching around, we decided to continue her training at Brestyan's Gymnastics in Burlington, Ma!  She extended her level 4 season with this gym taking 1st place in Massachusetts states with a score of 38.300 - with a 1st place on floor with a 9.700.  She is ranked #38 in the top 100 level 4 gymnasts on mymeetscores.com for 2010 on bars with a 9.800!!   In 2010, she started her level 5 training and competed with Brestyan's.  While she had a decent beginning to the season, we decided that it was time to find a gym a little closer to home (mom was driving 2 hours a day/5 days a week!!).  In April 2011, Sophia began her training at Elite Gymnastics Academy!  She repeated Level 5 and had a great season.  For the 2012-2013 season, Sophia competed Level 6.  Sophia is #4 on mymeetscores.com top 100 gymnasts for level 6 floor scores for 2013 with a 9.850 as well as for her 9.700 vault score --which placed her #20!!  And her team is listed #5 and #63 for top 100 team scores!!!  2013-2014 competition season brought her into optional level gymnastics - and she competed Level 7!  Sophia is the Level 7 11C age group STATE CHAMPION for 2014!!  As well as vault, beam and floor champion!!!  2014-2015 - Sophia completed her level 8 season and is currently training level 9 skills! 2015-2016  -  Big change happened in July 2015 -- Sophia moved to Texas with family to live and continue her training.  She started in her new gym - TEXAS DREAMS - on July 15.  Sophia competed level 8 for the 2015-16 season and ended up having a great season!  She is the 2016 Senior B1 Level 8 Beam Champion and the 2016 Senior B1 Regional Bars Champion!!  She has spent the summer working her butt off and getting her Level 9 skills for the upcoming 2016-2017 competition season!!
